First of all, I came to faith in Christ in May of 1973. I was both drawn and driven to Christ out of fear of dying and an emptiness in my life that I could not fill with anyone or anything I found in this world. A pastor in North Carolina shared with me the gospel of Jesus Christ. He clearly explained that Jesus was God, and that he died for my sins, that I could be forgiven and be assured of living with God forever when I died. God graciously opened my eyes to the truth and I received Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord.
I am married to Elaine. We have been married for 32 years now. It’s been great. We have three married sons and six grandchildren. I’m a blessed man.
I am 56, but people tell me I look like I’m 55 (I get that everywhere I go, really). I have a Bowflex. I like to play my guitar and sing, play golf, play tennis, and fish once in a while.
In way of education and training for the ministry I have a BA in biblical studies. I also studied at Talbot Seminary and the International School of Theology and have a Masters of Divinity. Presently, I am doing Doctoral work at Denver Seminary.
It’s a privilege to serve with a great staff here and Elaine and I love being part of this wonderful church family.
We enjoy being a part of this community, making new friends, and we are praying that many will come to know the love of Christ because MVCC is here in Ramona.
